9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. From now through April 30, 2014, the Metro New York Chapter Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) are collecting gently-worn shoes in good condition in any style and size. The shoes that we no longer want or wear are creating sustainable economic means in other countries. The Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund will host their annual Holiday Party and Toy Drive on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at R. P. McMurphy’s in Wantagh. Where to Turn and the Secret Sandy Claus Project are helping Santa to distribute 15,000 toys to children impacted by Hurricane Sandy this Christmas. Their project spans Staten Island, Long Island and New Jersey.
