9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Local artists, firefighters and businesses are raising money for construction of a 9/11 Memorial by hosting a dinner party and art auction at 6:00pm on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Edmonds Conference Center. An evening of designer handbag bingo will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Elks Lodge in Morrisville to raise money for maintenance to the Garden of Reflection 9/11 Memorial. The Tewksbury 9/11 Memorial Committee will hold a Texas Hold ‘em Night from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Tewksbury Country Club. Funds raised will go towards maintenance and improvements to the Tewksbury 9/11 Memorial. Maintenance for the Memorial costs between $3,500 and $5,000 annually. This year, necessary repairs include electrical work and damage to the seam where marble and concrete meet. To help build and maintain Beach Fire’s 9/11 Memorial at Fire Station #33, there will be a Fireman Beach Bash fundraiser on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lani Kai Island Resort in Fort Myers.
