9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The NJ 9/11 Memorial Foundation, that maintains the Empty Sky Memorial, will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the Beacon Hill Country Club. The first annual Walk 93 will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015, which is National Public Lands Day. The walk will take participants around a 2.28-mile loop of new trails at the Flight 93 National Memorial. There will be a fee to register for all walkers over the age of 13. The twelfth annual Garden of Reflection 5-K Run/Walk to benefit the Garden of Reflection 9/11 Memorial will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015. The public is invited to the dedication of the Northern Kentucky 9/11 Memorial at 6:00pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Crescent Springs Community Park in Crescent Springs. At the center of the memorial is a beam from the World Trade Center. Politicians and members of the media will be in attendance. On Friday, August 14, 2015, the Kennedy Space Center’s Fire Station 1 will install a one-ton beam from the World Trade Center in front of their firehouse as a memorial to the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
