9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Tri-State 9/11 Tribute will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 – Sunday, September 13, 2014. The Tri-State 9/11 Tribute was established to honor first responders and armed forces, past and present. Events begin Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7:30am with a Flag Raising Ceremony at the City Library. The annual 9/11 Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of Adam P. Arias will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ. The day begins with registration and lunch at 11:00am. Golf begins at 1:00pm and will be played in scramble format. Cocktails and dinner will be served after golf at 5:30pm. Putnam County residents are invited to mark the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by participating in the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance and writing thank-you letters to our military, firefighters, police officers and emergency medical personnel. Letters will be written on Thursday, September 11, 2014 between 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cornerstone Park Building in Carmel. On Sunday, September 14, 2014 and Monday, September 15, 2014, several FDNY members will ride bicycles from NYC to Montauk in honor of their fallen brothers.
