9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Bridgeton, NJ Fire Department will host its annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb starting at 8:00am on Friday, September 11, 2015. The climb honors the memory of the firefighters who raced into the World Trade Center, 343 of whom were killed that day. Many of the survivors are very sick today. On Sunday, May 17, 2015, the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will host their first Tower Climb in the new One World Trade Center. Participants will climb to the 90th floor of 1 WTC. Virtual Climbers will take the elevator to the 64th floor and join the party there or can participate entirely online. On Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:00am, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will host a stair climb honoring the 343 FDNY firefighters killed at the World Trade Center during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the 89 FDNY members (thus far) who have been killed from 9/11 related illnesses. Slots are available for the second annual National Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri. The event is a commemorative stair climb to honor the 343 members of the Fire Department of New York who were killed in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Check-in begins at 7:30am.
