Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. As part of Staten Island’s Bill Welsh “Run/Walk/Crawl” 5-K Run, there will be a children’s Run to VICTOR-Y quarter-mile run in honor of Vic Navarra on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9:00am in Clove Lakes Park. The Run to VICTOR-Y is free to all children 10 and under. All participants will receive a Vic Navarra medal. Join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network for a run in Prospect Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014 to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic cancer was recently added to the list of WTC-related cancers and is rising among rescue and recovery workers at the World Trade Center. The run begins at 10:00am.
