9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Registration is open for the 15th annual Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race, Walk and Family Day, which will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Woodsdale School in Abington, MA, Jeff’s home. Every year St. Michael’s Cemetery and the FF Christopher Santora Foundation host the 2-mile Remember Me Run in honor and celebration of the police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel who sacrificed their lives to save others on 9/11 at the World Trade Center and who have died because of their work on the site of the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the attacks. The 11th annual Mayor’s Memorial Walk will begin this year on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Honolulu Police Department on South Beretania Street. The walk will continue to Honolulu Fire Department Headquarters on Queen Street. The procession will then end at Honolulu Hale for a brief ceremony. Georgetown will host an ecumenical service, a concert and a candlelight tour of historic houses of worship to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. People of each of the three Abrahamic faith traditions — Christianity, Islam, and Judaism — will observe the fifteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks by walking together in solidarity in the Children of Abraham Walk, a Brooklyn tradition that began in 2002.
