9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The annual Mark Ellis Memorial Walk will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Farmingdale State College’s Campus Center. Registration begins at 9:00am and the walk will begin at 10:00am. The Empty Sky Walkathon will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Liberty State Park. Registration begins at 8:30am. Proceeds raised will go towards maintaining the 210-foot long brushed stainless steel walls that comprise the memorial. The Empty Sky 9/11 Memorial is New Jersey’s official memorial to the 749 people who were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and who lived in or had ties to New Jersey. The Lustgarten Foundation‘s Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Rye Playland Park. The pre-registration fee is $50.00; Walk-in registration fee on the day is $60.00. 100% of the funds raised go to pancreatic cancer research. To register to walk, please click here. The annual Keith D. McHeffey KDM 3-mile Fun Run Walk is back! After a year’s hiatus, the event will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00am at Sea Bright Boro Hall in Sea Bright, NJ.
