9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Lower Manhattan at 10:30am on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in memory of those killed in the 1993 terrorist bombing of the World Trade Center. A memorial Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 15, 2014 celebrating the life of Bishop Alphonse T. Mascherino, who founded the Flight 93 Memorial Chapel in Shanksville, who died on February 13, 2013. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Bishop Mascherino converted the former Mizpah Lutheran Church into the Flight 93 Memorial Chapel in honor of the crew and passengers of Flight 93.
