9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Bayonne Remembers Committee will hold an Interfaith Memorial Service and Candlelight Vigil at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the 9/11 “teardrop” Memorial in Harbor View Park. On Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 10:30am, Engine 73 & Ladder 42 will host a Memorial Mass in their quarters honoring the memory of DC Joseph Marchbanks Jr., Lt. Raymond Murphy of L-16, Lt. Brian Ahearn of E-230, FF Peter Bielfeld of L-42, and Fr. Mychal Judge, all of whom made the supreme sacrifice on September 11, 2001. A 9/11 memorial service is scheduled for 3:00pm on Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Letterkenny Chapel in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The speaker is the Rev. Lawrence Weber who lived near the crash site of United Flight 93 in 2001. The program will also include music and a rifle salute. This year on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks, the September 11th community is invited to gather to remember and pray for those we lost at the annual Mass for the victims and families of September 11, 2001.
