Staten Island victims of Hurricane Sandy who have questions about the benefits to which they are entitled can attend a town hall meeting on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 7:00pm at New Dorp High School. The meeting is sponsored by Borough President James P. Molinaro.
FEMA representatives, borough elected officials and city agency representatives are scheduled to attend. They will give brief overviews of services and then storm-affected Staten Islanders can meet with the officials and agencies.
Molinaro set up the meeting to clear up misconceptions — such as the thought that if someone takes advantage of the city’s Rapid Repair program, they would not be eligible for benefits from FEMA or their insurance companies.
