9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Rockland County Law Enforcement Memorial Committee will hold their annual memorial ceremony on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 11:00am at the Rockland County Police Memorial in front of the County Courthouse on Main Street in New City. Two of the names that will be added to the memorial are those of Deputy U.S. Marshal Zacarias Toro of Nanuet, and NYPD Lt. On Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 10:00am, the Church of the Assumption in Staten Island will hold a Mass to celebrate the feast of St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters in honor of all members of the FDNY. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a ceremony honoring all FDNY members who have died in the line of duty at the nearby Chapel of St. Paul.
