Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Lindenhurst’s South Fulton Avenue, between Kansas and Houston Streets, will be named in honor of NYPD Detective John Kristoffersen, who died from World Trade Center-related illnesses on August 25, 2012. The unveiling of the new sign bearing Det. Kristoffersen’s name will take place at a ceremony on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:00pm.
