9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Please note that an important deadline for 9/11 first responders who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer is approaching. Men who worked at the site of the World Trade Center, the Fresh Kills landfill, the morgue, or aboard any of the transport vehicles and who were diagnosed with prostate cancer between September 11, 2005 and September 11, 2013, must register their claims with the Victim Compensation Fund before Wednesday, October 14, 2015. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, North Shore LIJ Cancer Institute & Monter Cancer Center will hold a program entitled 2015 Updates in Blood Cancer Treatment & Stress Management for Cancer Patients on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Rust Auditorium at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
