9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Deadline for recovery workers with site-related prostate cancer

Please note that an important deadline for 9/11 first responders who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer is approaching. Men who worked at the site of the World Trade Center, the Fresh Kills landfill, the morgue, or aboard any of the transport vehicles and who were diagnosed with prostate cancer between September 11, 2005 and September 11, 2013, must register their claims with the Victim Compensation Fund before Wednesday, October 14, 2015. NYPD WTC deadline to file a Notice of Participation with the Police Pension Fund Extended

The deadline for members of the NYPD to file a Notice of Participation with the Police Pension Fund has been extended to September 11, 2015.  Active and retired NYPD officers who participated in the rescue, recovery and clean-up efforts but did not file the notice before the original 2010 deadline will now be able to do so in order to protect their presumptive eligibility for accident disability pension benefits.
