9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Monday, October 24, 2016 from 2:00pm-3:30pm EST, Frankly Speaking about Cancer will present a webinar entitled Clinical Trials and Immunotherapy to aid cancer patients in finding clinical trials that might be right for them. Presenters will be Dr. Giuseppe Giaccone, MD, PhD, from the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Shannon Semple, a thymus cancer survivor who joined an immunotherapy clinical trial. Free to Breathe — a charity that works to double the lung cancer survival rate by 2022 — will hold a Free to Breathe 5-K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Cadman Plaza Park's North Lawn in Brooklyn. Registration begins at 9:30am. Runners begin at 11:00am. The walk will start at 11:05am. A kiddie walk will be held at 10:55am. The event is untimed and family-friendly.
