His wake is scheduled from 2:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 and Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Fredericks Funeral Home in Flushing.

His funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:15am at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church in Flushing.

National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service

The 32nd Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service will take place on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:00am sharp.

The Memorial Service is expected to run approximately 2 hours.

All are welcome. Last year 40,000 attended the Service. There is special accomodation for the families of fallen officers. Please click here for family information and here to register as a family member.

The Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held immediately following the Memorial Service at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, located in the 400 block of E Street, NW.

Plaque dedication for Lt. Richard Nappi

On Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11:00am, a plaque dedication will be held honoring the memory of Lieutenant Richard Nappi of Engine 237, who was killed in the line of duty on April 16, 2012.

The dedication will take place in the quarters of E-237. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform. A collation will immediately follow from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
