Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. To sponsor the building of the West Hempstead September 11th Memorial, the West Hempstead Community Support Association and the West Hempstead World Trade Center Memorial Fund will present “An Evening of Wine and Roses” on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 8:00pm until 10:00pm at the West Hempstead Firehouse. Attendees will be welcomed with champagne and light hors d’oeuvres. A series of wine tastings paired with decadent chocolates and desserts will follow.
