9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The 14th annual Shawn M. Nassaney Race/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014. This year’s race will start at 9:00am with a children’s run (1 loop) following the adult run. After the race, a breakfast of eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice will be provided. Teams of five or more are encouraged to participate. The top five runners will determine the team score. The third annual two-mile Remember Me Run will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Queens on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 3:00pm. The run will be followed by a Memorial Service for the rescue and recovery workers who have died due to their work following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The 14th annual Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race, Walk and Family Day will take place at 9:00am on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Woodsdale School in Abington, MA. This year’s race will be dedicated to Sgt. Danny Vasselian, USMC, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on December 23, 2013.
