Wethersfield, CT has a 40-year-old tradition of lighting luminaria on Christmas Eve. Again this year, the Richard M. Keane Foundation is selling luminaria kits to make it easy to participate in this beautiful tradition. Each kit contains the special bag, a 14-hour candle and instructions. Kits cost $1.50 apiece. The PO Thomas Gorman Memorial Blood Drive will take place during the month of December at the Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey. The drive honors Port Authority Police Officer Thomas Gorman, who was killed in the line of duty during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
