9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:00am, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will host a stair climb honoring the 343 FDNY firefighters killed at the World Trade Center during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the 89 FDNY members (thus far) who have been killed from 9/11 related illnesses. This year’s Red Bandanna Run will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 on the campus of Boston College. The Red Bandanna Run honors Welles Remy Crowther, who has earned the nickname “the man in the red bandanna”. He was 24 and a broker from Sandler O’Neill & Partners who wore a red bandanna over his mouth as he saved lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center.
