9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. At 8:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2014, A Tribute to 9/11 will be held at Memorial Hall in Plymouth with all proceeds from the concert to be donated to the Massachusetts Fallen Heroes of Iraq and Afghanistan Memorial fund in honor of the 13th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. On Friday, September 12, 2014 at 7:15pm the Forever Strong concert will feature the U.S. Air Force Concert Band, the Singing Sergeants and a pre-concert demonstration by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. The Keane Foundation and Wethersfield Elementary Schools PTO will present Family Movie Night on the Broad Street Green on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 5:30pm. The movie will be Star Wars (1977). A concert will be held on the Plaza of the 9/11 Memorial on the evening of Friday, September 12, 2014. The time has not yet been announced. Musicians will include the Peace of Heart Choir; “National Anthem Girl” Janine Stange; the Pipes and Drums of the NYPD, PAPD, and FDNY and musicians from the faculty of the Tone Academy. Bargemusic will hold a free commemorative concert honoring the victims of the terrorist attacks on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 8:00pm. Doors will open at 7:30pm. There is no reserved seating for this concert. This year’s Bargemusic Memorial Concert will feature works by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Ligeti and Bottoms. Sarah Van Auken, daughter of 9/11 victim Kenneth Van Auken, is bringing her one-woman play, This Is Not about 9/11, to New York. Sarah was 12 years old when her father was murdered in the September 11 terrorist attacks. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald on top of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center.
