9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The American Red Cross and 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance have partnered to encourage people across the US to give blood in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. 9/11 blood drives are being held nationwide from September 7, 2015 to September 13, 2015. The thirteenth annual Spirit of America blood drive will return to the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan on Friday, September 11, 2015 Anyone with a blood donation appointment will have the opportunity to ride the MIS tram around the track, through the tunnel to the pits and into MIS’s Home of the Brave exhibit.
