9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Sunday, September 14, 2014 and Monday, September 15, 2014, several FDNY members will ride bicycles from NYC to Montauk in honor of their fallen brothers. The Law Enforcement Ride & Run to Remember is a fun and exciting way to support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Every dollar raised from each participant’s $72.00 minimum—in honor of the 72 law enforcement officers killed on September 11, 2001—honors and remembers the fallen heroes of American law enforcement. Fairfax County, Virginia has been named the host city for the 2015 World Police & Fire Games. The Games will bring more than 10,000 competitors to the area. Many of its 65 events will take place at Fairfax County venues such as George Mason University & Reston Town Center.
