Fourth Annual Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance Night

The fourth annual Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance Night will be held this year on Friday, August 10, 2012. The evening begins at 6:00pm with a ceremony at the Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance. At 6:30pm, the colors will be presented and the National Anthem will be sung, and the baseball game begins at 7:00pm. The Brooklyn Cyclones will play the Vermont Lake Monsters. Stay after the game for fireworks.

The family of FF Stephen Siller will be honored at this year’s game for all their work via the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation for children and veterans.

New York Mets host Law Enforcement Appreciation Night to benefit NLEOMF

On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 7:10 pm the NY Mets will play the Marlins at CitiField.

Proceeds from this game will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF ) in Washington, DC.

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety. The National Law Enforcement Memorial opened in 1991. The National Law Enforcement Museum will open in Washington, DC in 2014.

Staten Island Yankees Military Appreciation Game to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project

On Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 4:00pm the Staten Island Yankees will hold a military appreciation day. See the Staten Island Yankees play the Lowell Spinners. Stay after the game and watch another game at 7:00 — a team of Wounded Warriors will play softball against a team of Staten Islanders.
