Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Morris Catholic High School baseball team will honor their former star, Marty Boryczewski, with a game on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:30pm at the school. On Friday, April 10, 2015, the New York Yankees will hold their fourth annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Event at Yankee Stadium. The opponent will be the Boston Red Sox. All tickets will be sold online and must be picked up at the Ticketmaster Will Call windows (Windows 16-19) on game day. On Friday, October 3, 2014, beginning at 9:30am, Engine 221/Ladder 104 will host the Elsasser One-Pitch Tournament at Cunningham Park in Queens. The cost to play is $300.00 per team. All proceeds will benefit the Elsasser Fund, which provides help to families of deceased FDNY firefighters and officers who died non-line of duty deaths. The 2014 First Responders Cup for girls’ softball will be held on the weekend of September 5, 6 and 7, 2014. Please register now to insure a berth in the tournament.
