Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The World Trade Center Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) is currently seeking nominations for 7 of its 17 positions in the following categories two representatives for World Trade Center rescue and recovery workers; two representatives for World Trade Center survivors; one occupational physician with experience treating World Trade Center rescue and recovery workers; one mental health professional and one industrial hygienist. Groundbreaking of World Trade Center Memorial Walkway of Southern Illinois

The ground-breaking ceremony for the World Trade Center Memorial Walkway of Southern Illinois in Belleville will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. The memorial will be located at 1125 S. Illinois Street near Firehouse No. 4. The land is city-owned. A large steel column from the World Trade Center will form the memorial’s centerpiece. 2,000-mile hike for the Brent Woodall Foundation

In the spring of  2014, Chris Waltenburg is hiking the Appalachian Trail (at the age of 60) to support the Brent Woodall Foundation for Exceptional Children. The hike will cover more than 2,000 miles and will raise more than $10,000 for autistic children.
