The Shirley Fiterman Art Center at Borough of Manhattan Community College in Lower Manhattan is hosting Top of the World, an exhibit on the rebuilding of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks. Weathersfield, CT has lit Christmas Eve luminarias for 39 years. Again this year, the Keane Foundation is selling luminaria kits to make it easy to participate in this beautiful tradition. Kits include a 14-hour candle, special bag, and instructions. Each kit is $1.50. All funds raised will support the Keane Foundation 9/11 Memorial Sports Center, which honors Richard “Dick” Keane, who was killed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. The annual Amy King 5-K will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00am at the Lakewood Community Center in Lakewood, NY. The free Kids’ Race, for children 3-10, will begin at 11:30am.
