9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Canstruction can be seen in the Winter Garden from Thursday, October 31, 2013 until Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 10:00am – 6:00pm daily. The public is invited to bring canned or nonperishable food to donate when they come to view the exhibit. Food will be donated to City Harvest, as will all the cans used to make the sculptures. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the FF Carl Vincent Bini Memorial Fund provided disaster relief to hard-hit local communities. One year after the storm, many people still are out of their homes and need help. There will be a bone marrow drive for Owen Hogan on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Floral Park Village Hall in Floral Park, Queens. Owen, the 2-year-old son of FDNY firefighter Tim Hogan, has aplastic anemia, a potentially fatal blood disorder and desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. To help build and maintain Beach Fire’s 9/11 Memorial at Fire Station #33, there will be a Fireman Beach Bash fundraiser on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lani Kai Island Resort in Fort Myers.
