9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. World Trade Center survivor Will Jimeno, PAPD (ret.), to speak, Newnan, GA

On Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 6:30pm at Newnan High School, the Newnan history club will host Will Jimeno, who will discuss being a Port Authority police officer on the morning of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Jimeno and his colleague John McLoughlin were trapped beneath the rubble for hours.

Program organizers hope to livestream the event online so other history clubs across the country can see it.

The event is free to the public, and will be preceded by pancakes and bacon in the school cafeteria, starting at 5:00pm.
