Wake for retired NYPD Detective Patrick J. Whalen

NYPD Detective Patrick J. Whalen (ret.), who was a recipient of the Combat Cross for Valor and the father and grandfather of several NYPD officers, has died.
His wake will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Brooklyn’s Clavin Funeral Home.
The funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Angel R. C. Church in Brooklyn.
Detective Whalen will be buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
