Wake for FDNY Firefighter James “Jimmy” Lanza (retired)

Retired FDNY Firefighter James “Jimmy” Lanza died on April 6, 2017 of World Trade Center-related brain cancer. Noted for his generosity and his charity work, Jimmy was beloved. He spent much of his career at El Barrio’s Bravest, E-53/L-43. He was 71.
His wake will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home in Astoria.
His funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Woodside, Queens.
