SSG James McNaughton Tribute

January 28, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$20.00

The 12th annual SSG James McNaughton Tribute will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm at Mulcahy’s Pub & Music Hall in Wantagh, NY. After a switch to April last year, the event will again be held in January.

James “Jimmy” McNaughton was 27 when he became the first NYPD officer to give his life for his country while serving as a soldier in Iraq. A US Army Sergeant, he was training the Iraqi Highway Patrol, an assignment for which he volunteered, when he was shot and killed by a sniper on August 2, 2005.

His parents are both NYPD officers. His father, Billy, served at the World Trade Center recovery operation as part of the K-9 unit.

The annual party in Jimmy’s honor includes live music, raffles, giveaways, drink specials, free food, and more, all for a donation of $20.00. The funds raised will help the James McNaughton Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that donates to the Centereach High School Scholarship fund, 9-1-1 Veterans, for Long Island’s veterans, and the Intrepid Fallen Hero Fund.
