Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Seminar on Terrorism — The Tsarnaev Brothers: What We Know So Far

John Jay’s Seminars on Terrorism continue on Friday, October 25, 2013, 3:00pm with Jessica Stern lecturing on the subject The Tsarnaev Brothers: What We Know So Far.

Jessica Stern is a prolific author on terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.  She is currently a fellow at the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at the Harvard School of Public Health, serves on the Hoover Institution Task Force on National Security and Law, and is a member of the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations.  She is also currently an Advanced Academic Candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis.

Awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for her work on trauma and violence, Stern recently authored Denial: A Memoir of Terror, dealing with her own experience with childhood sexual assault. Her book, Terror in the Name of God: Why Religious Militants Kill, recounts her interviews with Christian, Jewish and Muslim extremists.
