Rick’s Place was established as a non-profit organization in 2007. Their mission is to offer youth and their parents/guardians support as they manage one of life’s most difficult experiences — the death of a significant caregiver or sibling.  All of the services at Rick’s Place are free of charge.  Last year, Rick’s Place served more than three hundred participants from twelve cities and towns in the Pioneer Valley and northern CT.

Rick’s Place was named for Eric “Rick” Thorpe, who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working at the World Trade Center.
