9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. PurpleStride Pancreatic Cancer Run/Walk NYC 2015

The annual PurpleStride® New York City 2015 5-K Run and Family-Friendly Walk will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Brooklyn’s famed Prospect Park.Pancreatic cancer is the fourth deadliest cancer in the US and is set to become the second deadliest by 2020. Many recovery workers from the World Trade Center have been afflicted with pancreatic cancer.

The run will be timed, the walk is family-friendly and untimed.

Registration opens at 7:30am; opening ceremonies will begin at 9:15am and the run and walk will begin at 10:00am. Please allow  15-20 minutes into your schedule for the walk from park entrances to Nethermead East.
