9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Plaque Dedication for NYPD Detective Steven McDonald

There will be a plaque dedication for legendary NYPD Detective Steven McDonald on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00am at 106th Street inside Central Park (on the path between Fifth Avenue and East Drive). All are welcome.
Detective McDonald lived for more than 30 years as a quadriplegic after being shot in the line of duty. He remained a huge support to the NYPD for the rest of his life and spoke on forgiveness for many years. He led the Father Mychal Judge walk annually to remember his friend. He died of complications from the shooting in 2017.
