“Newtown Live: A National Conversation”

November 2, 2016

Fathom Events and Abramorama will present nationwide screenings of the documentary Newtown in cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Filmed over the course of three years, Newtown tells the story of the aftermath of the deadliest mass shooting of schoolchildren in American history on December 14, 2012.

Following the screening, there will be a live “town hall” panel discussion with audiences across the country. The conversation will engage a dialogue around the issues of gun violence, collective trauma, and community response from panelists Mark Barden, father of Newtown shooting victim Daniel, age 7; surviving Sandy Hook Elementary School library clerk, Mary Ann Jacob; the father of surviving first grader, Hugo Rojas; and Dr. Bill Begg of Danbury Hospital ER.
