9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service – Emmitsburg, MD and online

This year’s National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 and Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Emmitsburg National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Among the other firefighters killed in the line of duty added to the Memorial this year will be 24 FDNY firefighters who have died of illnesses brought on by their work in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The FDNY rescue and recovery workers to be added to the Memorial this year are —

Battalion Chief Richard Arazosa, died 2013; Captain Sheldon Barocas, died 2011; FF Michael G. Behette, died 2012; Battalion Chief John J. Cassidy, died 2015; FF Roy Chelsen, died 2011; Battalion Chief John K. Corcoran, died 2013; FF Kevin M. “Buck” Delano, died 2008;  Lieutenant Martin T. Fullam, died 2013; Captain John T. Gallagher, died 2015; Lieutenant John J. Halpin, died 2014; Fire Marshal Emil Harnischfeger, died 2013; Lieutenant Robert M. Hess, died 2010; FF Stephen M. Johnson, died 2004; FF Robert Leaver, died 2014; FF James J. Marshall Sr., died 2014; FF Eugene J. McCarey, died 2014; FF Sean Michael McCarthy, died 2008; FF Michael F. Mongelli, died 2012; Lieutenant John P. Murray, died 2008; FF John F. O’Neil, died 2011; FF Jacques William Paultre, died 2008; Lieutenant Steven B. Reisman, died 2014; EMT Joseph V. Schiumo, died 2012; and Lieutenant Randy J. Wiebicke, died 2011.
