Celic Run

August 30, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The 38th Annual Marty and Tom Celic 4-Mile Run will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, NY. Children’s races will follow the adult race, starting at 11:00am. After the race, a BBQ and awards ceremony will be held at the Staten Island Marine Corps Post at 46 Ontario Avenue (across Victory Blvd.).

The Celic Run honors two brothers, FF Marty Celic, of FDNY’s Ladder 18, who was killed in the line of duty in 1976, and his brother Tom Celic, who was murdered in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working for Marsh & McLennan in World Trade Center 1.

The fee to run is $25.00/runner in advance (by mail or online); and $30.00/runner registering on race day. To register online, please click here.  Please note that there are no guarantees of t-shirts for race-day entrants. Women have a choice between t-shirts and tank tops.

You can pick up your race packet in advance on Thursday August 28, 2014 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Jody’s on 382 Forest Avenue on Staten Island.

The Celic Run funds an annual track scholarship at Monsignor Farrell High School, where both Marty and Tom ran.
