September 20, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The annual Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from noon to 6:00pm at the Hillside Swim Club in Staten Island.

There will be live music, a barbecue, rides and games, a Chinese auction and a 50/50. All proceeds benefit the Lt. John Martinson Memorial Foundation.

There will also be a bone marrow drive for FF Jimmy Martinez, who desperately needs a marrow match to treat his World Trade Center-related multiple myeloma.

The ticket price for adults is $50.00; for students aged 13-20, $20.00. Children under 12 enter free. For tickets, please visit the charity’s website. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Lt. John Martinson, “Johnny Nice Guy”, gave his life fighting a fire in a high-rise apartment on January 3, 2008, after a long FDNY and NYPD career that included serving during the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.
