FDNY Battalion Chief Jack Fanning was the father of two severely autistic sons. His dream was to build a group home for autistic people who had “aged out” of regular programs. Two such houses have been built by the foundation in his name. And many other autism charities are helped each year by the Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation, which has donated almost $500,000 to organizations that advance the lives of those with autism.
