9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Hope Starts under the Stars Gala for COPS

June 19, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm

The Metro New York Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) will host their Hope Starts under the Stars gala on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at The Sands in Lido Beach, NY. The cocktail hour begins at 6:30pm, with dinner and the program beginning at 7:30pm. The after-party starts at 9:30pm

The evening’s dress code is black tie optional. There will be a red carpet and live entertainment, all in honor of law enforcement surviving families and the law enforcement community.

This year’s honorees are the Family of Detective Fermin Archer, NYPD (End of Watch, July 13, 2011); the Family of Police Officer Joseph P. Olivieri, Jr., NCPD (End of Watch, October 12, 2012) and the Family of Police Officer Arthur Lopez, NCPD (End of Watch, October 23, 2012)

The 2014 Honors Recipient will be Kathleen M. Rice, District Attorney, Nassau County.

Special guests and law enforcement leaders include actor Danny Aiello;  NYPD Commissioner William J. Bratton; actor Daniel Craig; Chief Security Officer of the Port Authority of NY & NJ, Joseph P. Dunne; Rikki Klieman from CBS News; Nassau County PD Acting Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter and Suffolk County PD Commissioner Edward Webber.

Uniformed services members can attend for $150.00. General admission is $250.00. A VIP table for 10 including a variety of special perks costs $5,000.00. Funds raised will benefit Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), an organization devoted to helping families and colleagues of law enforcement officers who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
