Groundbreaking on “smart” house for Sgt. Ben Tomlinson, USMC (ret.)

February 25, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Construction on Sgt. (ret.) Ben Tomlinson’s “smart home” will begin at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 with a groundbreaking ceremony.

Sgt. Tomlinson of the United States Marine Corps was injured in Afghanistan both in 2009 and 2010. The latter injury left him paralyzed from the chest down.

The “Building for America’s Bravest” program, a joint project of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Gary Sinese Foundation, is building him a “smart” home so that he can manage tasks on his own and live indepently.

The public is welcome to the groundbreaking ceremony.

To donate to Ben’s house, or to the houses of many other brave injured veterans, please visit the website.
