Funeral for NYPD Detective Steven McDonald

NYPD Detective Steven McDonald, who was made quadriplegic in 1986 in a line of duty shooting, has died at the age of 59.
McDonald has been an NYPD legend, leading the Father Mychal Judge Walk annually in his breath-powered wheelchair, forgiving the teenager who shot him, and continuing his career in the NYPD despite his injuries.
His funeral will be held at 9:30am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
