9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Lt. Richard Doody, FDNY

Lt. Richard Doody was found dead on November 28, 2015. He had a 29-year career with the FDNY, and was teaching at the Fire Academy on September 11, 2001. He responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and worked on the pile for several weeks, then was asked to join the ceremonial unit to work on funerals.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church in Staten Island.
