9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for Firefighter Kevin Rooney, E- 42

FDNY Firefighter Kevin Rooney of Engine Company 42 has died of World Trade Center-related illness. He was 38.
Rooney served as an NYPD officer before he joined the FDNY. He responded to the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as a police officer. He joined the FDNY in 2004.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Margaret of Cortona RC Church, also in the Bronx.
