9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Funeral for FF Robert J. McCarthy, FDNY (ret.)

On Friday April 29, 2016, Robert McCarthy died of World Trade Center pancreatic cancer. Because he had retired before September 11, 2001, his death is not considered to be a line of duty death.
FF Robert J. McCarthy retired in 1996 after a 27-year career with the Corona Tigers Engine 289. In 2001, he responded to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and worked the recovery effort.
The FDNY is asked to turn out as if it was a line-of-duty death.
His funeral Mass will take place at Maria Regina Church in Seaford on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00am.
