Flyover of WWII-era Planes in Honor of 9/11 Victims

September 1, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

On Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 1:00pm, there will be a flyover featuring six historic planes at the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center site in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

If the weather allows, the planes — a P-47 Thunderbolt dating from 1940, 3 B-25s, a 1935 Curtiss-Wright P-40 Warhawk, together with their World War II-era fighter plane escort, will circle the NYC site of the attacks, and the Statue of Liberty.
