The Danbury Railway Museum will commemorate the eleventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 by holding a First Responders’ Day on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and their families will be admitted and may ride the trains at no cost.
There will also be a special exhibit of photographs of the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center. The pictures were taken by members of Redding Fire and EMS Co. 1 and other recovery workers during the aftermath of the attacks in New York City.
