9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Final Mike Canty Family Fun Run
September 2, 2012 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The final Mike Canty Family Fun Run will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2012 in Schenectady’s Central Park. Registration starts at 1:00pm. The kids’ race at will be at 2:00pm. The adults’ 5-K race (and 3-K Walk) starts at 3:00pm and will be followed by Giffy’s picnic barbeque with chicken dinners for adults and hot dog dinners for children.
Registration is $25.00 for adults; $7.00 per child 18 and under if you pre-register by August 24, 2012. Race day fees are $30.00 for adults and $10.00 per child 18 and under. All proceeds will benefit the Michael Canty Memorial Fund, Inc. at Mike’s alma mater, Schenectady High School.
There will be entertainment from 4:00pm-7:00pm with music, crafts for kids, rock wall, Magnet Man and bouncy bounce and, as always, Silly Set Dancing at Dusk.
