9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Field of Honor for Law Enforcement Officers, Greece, NY
September 7, 2013 - September 11, 2013
Seventy-three 3′ x 5′ flags will fly in Badgerow Park South in silent tribute to the 73 law enforcement officers — 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, 1 Secret Service agent, 1 officer of the National Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and 1 NYPD cadet murdered by terrorists on September 11, 2001. Each flag will bear the name of one of these brave officers.
These flags will be displayed on 8′ poles arranged in perfect rows. Flags are available for sponsorship. For details, please click here.
Funds raised will benefit Concerns of Police Survivors or C.O.P.S., a non-profit organization that helps families of law enforcement officers killed or injured in the line of duty.
