9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at 7:30pm, there will be a meeting hosted by Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony Santino, Mayor of the Village of East Rockaway, Fran Lenahan and NYS Assemblyman Brian Curran. The meeting will detail what East Rockaway, the Town of Hempstead and the state of New York are doing to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Town of Hempstead Building Department will attend to answer questions about new permitting processes designed to help rebuilding.
