9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Detective Brian Moore Memorial Foundation Walk & BBQ Reception

The Brian Moore Memorial Foundation Walk will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Belmont Park. The walk will begin at 10:00am at the Marquee Tent near the Clubhouse entrance of Belmont Park and end 3.4 miles away on Det. Brian Moore Way in Cambria Heights. There will be a moment of silence and brief words from Brian’s mother Irene. Participants will walk back to Belmont Park for a BBQ reception and then are encouraged to stay and enjoy a day at the races.

Check-in will begin at 9:00am. The walk will end at approximately 11:45am. The BBQ reception will begin at approximately 12:00pm.

Tickets cost $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for children aged 4-12. Included in the ticket price is registration for the walk, a walker t-shirt, admission to Belmont, admission to the Marquee Tent, a BBQ luncheon, and race day program.

Detective Brian Moore, NYPD, was shot in the line of duty on May 2, 2015 and died of his injuries two days later. He was 25.
