Dedication of the Anne Frank sapling in Liberty Park

June 12, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

To mark the 70th anniversary of the publication of Anne Frank’s diary, a sapling from the Anne Frank Tree in Amsterdam will be dedicated in Liberty Park on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 5:00pm.

The Sapling Program sends saplings from the Anne Frank chestnut tree to sites affected by hatred. The original chestnut tree is a tree in Amsterdam that Anne could see while she was in hiding from the Nazis. In her renowned diary, she writes about the tree giving her hope.

The annual gala follows the tree dedication ceremony.
