On Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 6:30pm, there will be a brief ceremony to replace and rededicate the street sign for Lisa King Johnson Promenade.

Lisa King Johnson was one of the many residents of Rockaway who were killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Lisa King Johnson Promenade was named in her honor at Beach 124th and the Boardwalk. The sign with her name was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy.
